Time Trials
We have a good series of Time Trialling racing photos, of our club members, old and new, novices and veterans, fast and furious and some just plain suffering. Why do we do this?
At the end of season, the Manchester & District Time Trials Association promote a Christmas 10m TT event, with a Fancy Dress Category. One or two members may ride the "serious" event - in fact, Ian Bracegirdle once rode a Season's PB in a Christmas 10 - but it is been found to be a good event to have some fun with, and with certain success for us. Stretford Wheelers may not have the fastest ever Snow White buy we do have the fastest team of Seven Dwarves !
Epic Tours and Trips
In recent years, we have had a series of adventures well away from the lanes of Cheshire.

We have our regular favourite holiday/trip/training camp to Mallorca.
2019's epic tour saw several members embark on riding The Camino Frances from Biarritz to Santiago De Compostela.
In 2017, a van load of club members bikes was driven to Bayonne (next to Biarritz) and a transit along the route of RAID Pyrenees was executed, picking up many of the Le Tour's favourite climbs, on route to the Mediterranean coast at Banyuls.
Prior to that, in 2015, a van load of bikes was taken to Geneva and RAID Alps was tackled, to Nice.
Besides those trips, there have been several excursions to Brugge (in Flanders) ande Zell-am-Mosel (in Germany) to sample their roads and respective beers and wines. It would have been rude not to... And some cobble bashing.
We have had weekends away, to watch Le Tour in Yorkshire, a return to re-enact that up in Hawes, excursions around Northern Ireland on two wheels, two trips to ride Le Canal du Midi. Smaller groups within the club have tackled the Transpennine Trail, The Way of the Roses - even a walk/cycle weekend to tackle Hellvelyn's Striding Edge!
